How to Apply Our Fertilizer

Grains
Canola & Mustard
| STEP 1 | Apply recommended rate of PowerPak (13-8-8-14) granular blend, generally 20 lbs. per acre. |
| STEP 2 | Foliar feed with 5 lbs. per acre PowerFol (23-17-17). Canola and Mustard respond very favorably to PowerFol (23-17-17). Stronger podding and longer flowering as well as healthier plants may be realized. An additional 5 lbs. per acre may be applied to irrigated crops. PowerFol may be applied by aircraft, regular spraying equipment or by fertigation. |
Wheat (Dryland)
| STEP 1 | Treat seed with PowerRoot (1-2-1) liquid concentrate at least 2 hours prior to seeding. * Does not replace Vitavax. |
| STEP 2 | Apply 20-30 lbs. per acre of PowerPak (8-18-18) granular blend in row at seeding time. * Replaces your present phosphate, potash and sulphur program. |
| STEP 3 | Apply 5 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (23-17-17) when plants are at the 3 to 4 leaf stage, generally with herbicide. |
Wheat (Irrigation)
| STEP 1 | Treat seed with PowerRoot (1-2-1) liquid concentrate. Follow label directions. 1 jug treats 200 to 300 bushels. * Does not replace Vitavax. |
| STEP 2 | Apply PowerPak (8-18-18) granular blend at 20 lbs. per acre with seed. * Replaces all nutrient requirements other than the grower's present Nitrogen Program. |
| STEP 3 | Apply 5 to 7 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (23-17-17) when grain is in 3 to 4 leaf stage. Mixes well and may be applied with most herbicides. * If in doubt mix some in a jar to test compatibility. Always read directions on herbicide container. If still in doubt call our office or your chemical dealer. Pre-solulate PowerFol foliar before adding to sprayer or nurse tanks. |

| STEP 1 | PowerRoot (1-2-1) should be used as the liquid in your inoculant (dilute PowerRoot to label directions). * If applying Selfstik inoculant, do NOT use PowerRoot (1-2-1). |
| STEP 2 | Apply 10-20 lbs. per acre of PowerPak (8-18-18) granular blend with seed. |
| STEP 3 | Foliar feed prior to flowering with 5 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (23-17-17). This may lengthen podding time and increase seed set. |
Corn
| STEP 1 | Apply 20-30 lbs. per acre of PowerPak (8-18-18 / 8-34-8) granular blend with the seed. |
| STEP 2 | Foliar feed at 5 lbs. per acre with PowerFol (23-17-17) when corn is about 6 inches to 1 foot high. Under irrigated land you may use 10 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (23-17-17). |
Alfalfa
Growing alfalfa is good in a rotation and can be very profitable. With the PowerRich Balanced Fertility Program, protein and glucose content may be consistently higher. As well, finer stems and more leaves may give you a higher tonnage per acre.

| New Crops | Apply PowerPak (8-18-18) granular with seed at 20 to 30 lbs. per acre. Foliar feed with PowerFol (23-17-17) at 5 lbs. of product per acre after each cut. |
Note: Use in conjunction with your regular Nitrogen Program.
